The country of Casinca is made up of seven fortress villages posted as sentries, which have watched the sea for centuries. Penta Di Casinca clings to its tapered rocky outcrop. The houses, with facades of gray and uneven stones, covered with slate, line up on the main street. Narrow alleys are articulated on this long street. A square, adorned with a Corsican-style fountain, dominates the plain and the shore. The baroque-style church, with its slender, slender bell tower, watches over this conservatory of traditional Corsican architecture. This village, out of time, is honored to count among its children the famous composer: Henry Tomasi. An enigmatic rock dominates the village: A tozza. The peaceful and friendly public square exudes harmony and serenity. The narrow streets and staircases, artistically paved with local stone, bordered by pretty vegetable gardens, are adorned with dazzling flower beds.

The smallest of Casinca's pearls stands elegantly on the delicate slope of its hill. In this village, everything is soft and harmonious. The stairs follow the beautiful houses placed in espalier. At the heart of the village, adjoining a charming little square stands the church with its pretty bell tower with two openwork floors. A few flower beds adorn the alleys. The village is intriguing with its sober beauty, its serenity and its enigmatic past: The ruins of Sajabicu. Near the village, a refuge cave, known as the maquisards cave, recalls the contribution of Porri and the country of Casinca to the liberation of Corsica.

Sorbo Ocognano has two hamlets built of tall houses of patinated and uneven stone. The main hamlet crowns the top of a hill overlooking the coastline. Stairs and vaulted alleys, paved with local stones, in soft ocher shades lead to the church with its remarkable bell tower with three openwork steps. A few flower beds light up the hamlet. The village is adorned with a fountain covered with small polychrome stones. The forest which invaded the old beds of culture constitutes the green setting of this typical village of Corsica yesterday.

Traditional village, mirror of Corsican architecture, Venzolasca is also a proud citadel. This belvedere, posted at the top of a ridge, is organized around a large street, long and straight, where the tall stone houses with slate roofs line up ... The slender silhouette of the Sainte Lucie bell tower watches over this picturesque frame. Emerging from the mineral, 2 tall palm trees soar towards the sky. The village offers its place adorned with a beautiful fountain under the benevolent and protective gaze of its "hairy marble"

Historical capital of the Casinca, former bishopric, capital of the canton, the village of Vescovato, whose creation dates back to the 16th century, has actively participated in the rich history of Corsica. It gave birth to famous people: the chroniclers Monteggiani, Ceccaldi or Filippini, the patriot Colonna Ceccaldi, the Count of Buttafoce or the captain of the ship Luce de Casabianca, hero of Aboukir. Mirabeau like Joachim Murat, King of Naples and the two Sicilies, stayed there. The baroque church, surmounted by a fine bell tower, shelters behind its beautiful classical facade, three naves and a high altar, richly decorated. The large, friendly, shaded square is adorned with a superb old stone fountain from its imposing residences, the memory of a distant and glorious past.
